Two Feet Project is an organization dedicated to instilling hope and promoting positive change in the youth of Kenya. Using mentorship programs and sports as conduits; Two Feet Project seeks to equip Kenya’s underprivileged youth with the practical skills, confidence, and knowledge necessary to overcome the obstacles that they face. Two Feet Project’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in their future. Our philosophy is to engage, educate, and empower the youth to become catalysts for change in their own communities. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through on a path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
In the 10 years of investing in youth, Two Feet Project has seen a culture devoid of hope, motivation, and opportunity for the youth. Growing up in a developing country where society does not pay attention to the youth promotes a culture of perpetual poverty, street living, violence, homelessness, and rampant drug usage. The culprit for this ethos is a lack of mentorship, opportunity, and accountability. Youth must have the opportunity for a successful start in education and sport regardless of age, tribe, gender, family composition, income, or community.
The goal of the program is to identify youths who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer a positive support system through our various programs in order to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives.
Over the last 5 years as an official organization, and over 15 years working with youth, Two Feet Project has worked to refine its understanding of how its programs can best address these issues in different cultural contexts. Two Feet Project has sought to maintain adaptable program models that authentically reflect the needs of the communities it works in. Along the way, TFP has benefited from the dedication of many passionate staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters, each of whom has a desire for youth and their future.
We sincerely thank you for your support. We know we would be unable to come close to changing lives without the support of our community. Thank you for joining with us.
